Bamboo is a much more sustainable alternative to cutting down trees for toilet paper. It takes approximately 40 years for a hardwood tree to grow to maturity, compared with just 1-5 years for bamboo depending on the variety. The environmental impact of cutting down trees to make toilet paper has had a devastating effect on our planet’s forests and these play an important part of our global ecosystem. Not only are Bumboo saving trees by using bamboo instead, they also plant a tree for every box purchased, in association with Eden Reforestation Projects.
